A good photographer is always in touch with the latest innovations, trends, and equipment in the market, not to mention, constantly improving their technique. This especially rings true for DIY real estate photographers. Now that you know what equipment to use and the basic rules of photography, here are some great websites (in no particular order) that will help keep you up to date on everything photography. Best of all, they have great real estate sections!

This website is divided into three categories: photography tips and tutorials, equipment, and post production, making it super easy to navigate. What sets this website apart is that, unlike similar websites that gather reading and viewing material from other sources, they provide native content from their own contributors, which means all their videos and articles are carefully curated by their producers and writers.

Peta Pixel is a great mixture of tips, news, reviews, and funny articles and videos. Personally, I visit this website everyday because it’s well rounded and covers a variety of topics. They also seem to have the most real estate content compared to the rest of the websites on this list. All in all, this site is a great way to keep up with the latest news, innovations, and not to mention, have a good laugh.

I included F-Stoppers because it focuses on photography and videography which is a topic I haven’t covered much of yet (stay tuned next month). It’s also a great place to read really in-depth reviews — helpful if you’re on the fence between buying two products or just need a push in the right direction. They also have really cool contests where you can win gear, which other websites don’t offer.

DIY Photography has awesome photography tutorials and tips which is why it’s a must-have for this list. It’s a great resource if you want to improve your shooting techniques, lighting, post processing, and more. As its title suggests, it really focuses on helping the average DIY photographer, and like all the websites on this list, it has a great section on real estate photography and video.

Here’s a bonus fifth website to brighten your day. I included this site because sometimes it’s equally as important to know what not to do in photography. Not to mention, whoever captions these pictures is a genius.
